Meet Bill Jenks — Owner and Founder

Bill Jenks started SunGuard Window Tinting in 1980 with a simple belief: do excellent work, use the best materials, and treat every customer the way you’d want to be treated. More than four decades later, that philosophy hasn’t changed. Bill has personally overseen tens of thousands of installations and has trained every technician who has worked at SunGuard to meet his exacting standards.

With 45+ years of hands-on experience in window tinting, ceramic coating, paint protection, and truck accessories, Bill brings a level of expertise that few shops anywhere in the country can match. He stays current with the latest products and techniques — from advanced nano-ceramic coatings to the newest residential window films — ensuring SunGuard always offers the best solutions available.

When Bill opened SunGuard’s doors in 1980, Punta Gorda was a small, close-knit community. Window tinting was still a relatively new service, and many people were unfamiliar with the benefits. Through quality work and word-of-mouth referrals, SunGuard steadily grew into one of Southwest Florida’s most established and respected window tinting shops.
